Hello everyone! I'm in the market for a webcam and I do not know which one to get. Can anyone recommend a good quality webcam for my Mac Mini? Can webcams take pictures? I will use the webcam for skype, and videos.

I use a Hue HD webcam (www.huehd.com though I bought mine from Amazon). It has a snapshot button which I have never used but that's for still pictures. The main draw for me is it works in both Windows and OSX, so I can use it even if I dual boot.

It's great for Skype and I also use it on Mumble for a lazy gaming microphone.

I think Logitech is also well regarded but you have to make sure you get a Mac edition; some of the others don't have drivers for the Mac and it's a mixed bag.

Just got my Agent v4.

In a single word: AMAZING.

Great clarity, the design looks like an iSight (if the iSight had been chrome), high resolution stuff...

Oh, and a great sensor. FAR better than, say, a built-in iSight.
