Has anyone tried the new Birdfeed (http://birdfeedapp.com/) Twitter client released today? I've been using Tweetie on my iPhone for the past several months but this looks like it may give Tweetie a run for its money.

Saw Leo Laporte tweet about it today. Looks similar to Tweetie. Might try after I read some feedback.

Aww damnit. Why'd you guys have to post about this.

Five stars with 23 ratings. Looks like I'll be adding this to my list of paid Twitter apps...

So far:

Twitterfon Pro
Tweetie
Twitteriffic Premium

Gotta say I'm not a big fan of the icon though.

Edit: After actually getting my App Store to work and looking at the app, I don't see anything about themes. Maybe I'll be holding off after all.

It's a beautiful UI but I can't justify the price. This came out after the 3gs release but there's no video uploading.

I'm hoping that sooner or later in my lifetime tweetie updates to 2.0. I may switch to Twittelator Pro if it's not satisfactory. They are the only ones that really seem to be pushing the envelope on a Twitter clients for the iPhone.

I like the icon better than Twitterlator Pro though.

Same here. Plus, I'm surprised that given it's a newly released Twitter client, there is no mention of push capabilities. I know there aren't any Twitter apps other that IM+, which push through replies etc, but would be nice to possibly suggest the feature as upcoming or similar.

What do people think of twitteriffic?
What makes tweetie better?

anybody's tweetie trend not working properly? I can see the tweets but can't click into it or else it will say user not found.

That is my only gripe with tweetie otherwise gd looking and simple app

Tweetie is suffering from the Twitocalypse bug. (or whatever its called)
There is a new version but it has been with Apple for two weeks and not released

You cannot see other people's followers and followees in Twitterific. It's also slow and tends to crash.

Slow? Really?

I haven't had any issues with Twitterrific whatsoever.

I have constant issues with Twitterrific. Sometimes I have to repeatedly press a tweet to get it to highlight. If I scroll the wrong way (and highlighting by accident) it will crash. It's the prettiest twitter client but it's also incredibly annoying.

Hm. I've been using it for weeks and haven't had any issues whatsoever. Are you using free, or Premium?

I think $5 is a lot for a twitter client but it does have nice features. I don't see where it has landscape though. If they dropped the price to $1.99, they would sell a lot more. I'd give it a shot for $1.99 but not at $4.99.

I love Tweetie but this delayed update is killing me. Why won't Apple release it already! Everytime I check for app updates and see a badge I get all excited...but it's never Tweetie =(

I'm using the free version. It's the best looking Twitter app but for me it's crash prone. It lacks some features that I like in Tweetie like going back in time to see tweets from days or weeks ago, followers and followees, and a better search engine.

It makes me sign in every single time even after I click save.

Lame.

Twittelator Pro for me!
