volume adjustment sound (really quick Q)

Somehow the noise that signifies that you are turing up/down the volume (popping sound) on my computer has gotten turned off. I can't figure out how to get it back. Can someone point me in the right direction?

System Preferences-->Sound-->Check the box that says "play feedback when volume is changed".

hmm... that is checked, I'll try a restart

problem solved, this restart managed to fix it thanks for the input though good to know how to switch that.
