Did you ever get an answer on this? I have the same problem with the RSS feed I use but I think that's just the way they work. I'd love to be able to read the entire article right from the lockscreen but I don't know if that's possible.

I'm not using Lockinfo for a while, to try and prove a theory that Lockinfo, after a certain amount of reboots/resprings actually causes your phone to slow down dramatically when double-tapping the Home button to bring up the multitasking bar on iPhone 4. On my wife's Lockinfo-less iPhone 4, her bar comes up instantaneously, whereas on mine it comes up after a second or two delay. It's aggravating (yes, it is). I have had it installed for a while and don't seem to have any lag opening the multitasking bar. I did have a weird problem after upgrading to 4.1 and jailbreaking. I used pkgbackup to restore my JB apps and then my phone went into a reboot cycle because of a SB crash. I uninstalled Lockinfo and iBlank and then it worked fine and then reinstalled both and it works fine now. I am not sure if 4.1 did not like the blank icons on my first page or it was Lockinfo. All is well now.

I am trying to set-up my Homescreen to only show Weather, Calendar, and 2do. However, it shows all of the plug-ins visible on my Lockscreen, not all of the ones in my infoshade though which has the most.

I am enabling as desired in settings, but to know avail.

I also notice that the dim delay does not work. I tried downloading the stand alone dim delay app and that to no avail.

I think this is all to do with OS 4.1.

Whenever I have had a Lockinfo issue with a toggle that does not seem to work I have turned them off, respring and then turn them back on and respring (or vice versa). That has solved the problem of plugins not showing (or showing when I did not want them to). This might also help with the collapsed by default setting. It is worth a try anyways.

Has anyone managed to get the section header to be transparent? It seems like it always has shading even if you make the section header PNG transparent. I have adjusted the transparency setting all the way to transparent but that still leaves it shaded. I had a notification and after clicking it that went transparent but it will go back to shaded eventually...

I am a moron but I figured this out a liitle. The shading occurs when the plugin is collapsed and I had them all set to collapsed by default. With that option turned off they become transparent. That works well except for the calander and todo olivine which would take up to much of the screen if they are not collapsed so I moved those to my homescreen instead. I also don't mind the shading on collapsed sections in the homescreen. It would still be nice if the app allowed you to disable the shading on collapsed sections too but it is not a big deal.

Nice! I emailed him that suggestion a couple weeks ago! Looks like he decided to implement it. Now if he'd just store unresponded to push notifications through resprings and add an option for showing a miniature app icon instead of app name in push area it'd be perfect!

I would really love this feature to be added.

I am constantly hitting the SMS bar and Mail bar and collapsing it instead of opening my SMS or mail message. I would love it, if it just locked, so I couldn't actually collapse the plugin.

It would be great if there was an option to hide titles ("mail", "sms", etc.) and just show the icons and show the count without parenthesis next to the icons. With the icons you really don't need the titles anyways. I don't think you can do this easily now without themeing LockInfo. That is on my wish list for the next version of LI.

Lockinfo is SO buggy. Every so often on my iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1, it will stop working, so that I have to respring. By not working I mean there will be no calendar/weather etc on my lock screen anymore.

I used to have that problem bout a year ago, seems like it's very random as u are the second case I've heard, me being the first. What I did was download "lockscreen clockhide" from cydia and use that to hide my clock. It's never happened since. Not sure bout your second question but as for your first, I think the way to theme lockinfo has changed, you'd have to look inside the included themes folders to match up certain images. Lockinfo automatically comes with about four different themes. You could use them as references. I loved the way gruppled look, btw.

Yes, Stimpy changed the file structure and all current theme's are broken for 3.0. You'll need a theme made for 3.0. MacTheme's has a few. There arent many yet since its still in Beta and not widely used.

Also, just as a test, I went ahead and deleted 3.0 and reinstalled the old 2.3 lockinfo to see if I could still install any custom sliders and I still cant get them to work. Seems to be some sort of compatibility issue. I disabled gruppled btw.

No they're using lock info ON ios 3.0, that's what the threads title meant. Now lock info version 3.0 is in beta and I haven't seen any 3.0 themes posted here. There are a few on macthemes.net.

I don't know if that will work for you, because I'm still using lockinfo 2.3, but recently I installed the ENIX theme, and began modifying it. When active, this theme causes blank sliders, which is not too much of a problem since you still know what the slider is for (when receiving a call or when syncing) but still, it's annoying.
I found that there's a file that you have to edit, which contains the strings to be displayed on the slider. Just fill them up, re-upload the strings file and you're good to go.
The file is under the theme 's folder in /Bundles/com.apple.springboard/ and then in the folder corresponding to your language, edit the SpringBoard.strings file.
If you installed your theme via cydia and don't have the files on your computer to edit, I guess the location of themes hasn't changed, it's in /Library/Themes/
Download the contents to your computer, and edit those.

im wondering why infoshade cant work over lockinfo. afterall, you have the option to display certain things in each screen. id like to put the more sensitive info (calendar/mail) in infoshade since i dont think anyone would know about infoshade to pull down. id like to have clock, notification, and SMS on LS/HS. i only have 1 page on springboard so being able to pull down infoshade on LS/HS would be nice.

It would crash within a second. 2) The foldercloser tweak did not work right after the upgrade. If I opened a folder, it would close before I had a chance to select an app. I tried reinstalling foldercloser and that didn't help. 3) Anytime I tried to move apps around or into folders, the action would stop short or end too quick before I could finish. I do have fakeclockup installed but that wasn't a problem before the lockinfo upgrade to 3.0.

I do like a lot of the changes made in 3.0 though. I Like that it can show peoples contact pictures and there is much more control of what happens with notifications and alerts. I especially like the we can lock the top section but leave the bottom scrolling; I can leave the weather at the top locked in place but still scroll thru emails and twitter lists.

In the end, I found the update not stable enough for me and I have since moved back to 2.3. The downgrade was fairly painless: I uninstalled lockinfo, removed the beta source, then reinstall the 2.3 lockinfo. All my settings were still there so that was helpful. I'm going to wait for the official release of 3.0, out of the beta stage.

If you are using Winternboard you can create a theme with the slider and enable it there. Having Lockinfo enabled for the lock screen will then blend the two and give you what you are after. In fact it is how my Lockscreen is configured right now.

New version came out, you can now dial your Favorite phone numbers from the lock screen and there's also a selection of 3 additional themes. I'm using the Dark one as it puts a nice blueish font color on the category names. Didn't really see any color change with the other 3 themes...

Are you talking about the pop-ups? If so then there is a setting to block the pop-ups in lockinfo.

I have tried to read every page on this forum but I still can't work out how to do this.

I want to install the Matte UI for Lockinfo, but i am confused since I am unsure if i should be installing it from Cydia or uploading the theme files via SSH.

I went ahead and installed it from Cydia, it shows up in Winterboard but when i activate it nothing happens, the theme just doesn't work.

I tried to find a version which i could download and then SSH into the Lockinfo theme's directory but couldn't find anything.

I was also wondering where everyone is finding all these Lockinfo themes which seem to work with the latest version of Lockinfo? Is there a site somewhere which lists them all for download?

Finally, am i correct in understanding that in the latest version of locking I should only be using themes which i can SSH into the lockinfo/theme folder?

make sure the theme is 3.0 compatible. the newest release broke all the old themes. Once you for sure have a theme that is 3.0 ready do this:

1) Put the theme folder in "/Library/LockInfo/Themes" and activate it in LockInfo 3.0 beta.
2) Put the winterboard theme folder in "/var/stash/Themes" and activate it in WinterBoard.
3) Respring

If i recall, Matte UI is not Lockinfo 3.0 ready. But i may be wrong about that point..

make sure the theme is 3.0 compatible. the newest release broke all the old themes. Once you for sure have a theme that is 3.0 ready do this:

1) Put the theme folder in "/Library/LockInfo/Themes" and activate it in LockInfo 3.0 beta.
2) Put the winterboard theme folder in "/var/stash/Themes" and activate it in WinterBoard.
3) Respring

If i recall, Matte UI is not Lockinfo 3.0 ready. But i may be wrong about that point..

Or do you know where I can get any of the more popular ones that are 3.0 compatible. I'm trying to do as much as i can myself, but Google's results list so much crap in regards to this.

I think it only uses the built in weather app, but I could be wrong.

On the latest version of lockinfo I get new voicemail notifications on my lock screen, but when i tap on them they do not open my voicemail so I can listen to them.

Is this by design, and it is notification only, but not "tap to open"?

Sorry for not keeping up with this thread, I posted it in passing, never thinking it would get so many responses.

Lockinfo 1.0.61 should be working now for everyone. The only problem I know of is that under the mail settings it displays two Gmail accounts if you have one. To get it to show up in Cydia, add http://david.ashman.com/beta/ to your sources. Additionally, add http://david.ashman.com/apt/ if you would like to hide the default lock screen clock and grey bar. Most lockinfo themes display info where the clock is normally so you should hide it. The image below is from the author, not me, so I cannot answer questions about why its a certain size to time/date. I just copied it from his thread over at Macthemes.com.

I have tested most of the Lockinfo themes and I prefer the Gruppled theme, which is displayed in the image below. The config.js file has a plethora of comments which allows for easy modification even for those of us that have no idea what a config.js file is. Same problem here. Lockinfo's voice mail pluggin does not respond to clicks. It just shows you the list of voicemails.

I recently changed from using lockinfo on my 3g running 4.1 to a 3gs running 4.3.3 and I'm getting a weird double vision on the 5 day forcast. it appears on both the HTC plugin and the native weather plugin.

HTC plugin is 1.4.0.10 downloaded off cydia, and there was an update on cydia for lock info I just applied and is now 3.0.4.2 (not sure what I had before but it was downloaded 2 days ago).

also disabling HTC plugin did in fact fix the problem for it to be displayed correctly in the native weather plugin before I just updated.

now that its updated (which I guess I should have checked before posting, but figured I just installed a couple days ago... my bad) it seems to be fix, has fancy new weather icons too.

still mucked up, disabling either htc, or weather native seems to make the other one work ok. but if bother are enabled(I like htc on lock, and native on homescreen and infoshade) I get the double vision effect.

ok, playing around more, I added htc, native weather, and lock weather, to both my lockscreen and homescreen.

I can't see to get it to do the double vision at all on the lockscreen anymore on any of the plugins, however I can get it to occur on both the htc and the weather native plugin visible on the homescreen.

with just HTC and weather native enabled on both lock and home, can't seem to reproduce...

then with HTC on Lock only and weather native on home, bingo double vision on both again.

well, I decided to remove the lock weather plugin as I wasn't using it anyway, and that actually seems to have solved the problem, even though it was even enabled.

I now have HTC plugin on my lockscreen, and the weather native plugin on my homescreen and info shade, and I have not been able to reproduce the double vision effect thus far.

so I consider this resolved.

Same here. I figured out you don't have to enter the code, if you slide to unlock, just hit cancel on the dialpad and the alarm will stop. It's one extra step, not too bad.. also, if you slide to unlock and dont enter your code or press cancel, the alarm will automatically stop once the screen dims and turns off.

do you have sbsettings? try to see if you have "SMS alert" turned on/enabled.

or trying switching on SMS in lockinfo plugin, refresh. if its already on, set it off, refresh, set it on, and refresh again.

i have a question regarding lockinfo... i noticed the media controls for lock info are gone. so i navigated to var/mobile/library/pref and located the lockinfo prefs. i found mediacontrols <key>1</key> and tried changing this value to 0 and 2. i want the media controls on the lockscreen to push lock info down, instead of my current set up, which places the media controls on a new blank lock screen.

Lockinfo is my favorite tweak. It was working woderfully until I recently updated my Lockinfo to 3.1.3.7 and realized I couldnt tap on any message to reply. It would show, but wouldnt allow me to tap. So I reverted back to 3.1.3.1 and now it allows me to tap on occasion. Sort of like...whenever it feels like letting me. Very frustrating. I havent update my iOS to 5.0 yet. Any ideas ??? Im dying over here!

Edit: Found the LI beta 4.0. Works on the lock screen.

Finally after waiting for a untethered JB release I tethered JBed my iPhone4 5.0. Everything went without a hitch except for iBooks and Changecase. Love having SBsettings again and five icon dock etc. Enabled 3G facetime calling, panaroma in the camera.

Lockinfo doesnt show up on the lock screen, anyone know what could I be doing wrong. Its turned on in the settings.
