Winterboard has nothing to do with lockinfo. Downloading lockinfo doesn't require winterboard, and winterboard is not in the lockinfo filesystem.

I'm also having a problem with the sender and subject not appearing on LockInfo. It just shows in brackets the name of the account it came from, e.g. (Gmail). Clicking the Refresh icon does the trick and loads the info straight away, but still an annoying bug.

As you can see the 2:30pm appointment is a duplicate of each other. I sync Calendar to MM and I believe LockInfo is showing duplicate calendar entries due to this. Is there a way to only show one?

This was highlighted as a known issue, with a solution to restart the application, but this only works 'some' of the time...I stil have a bunch of emails in my inbox from no sender despite restarts etc.

Hi I installed Lockinfo on my jailbroken iPhone 4 OS4.0.1. However when I go to the lockscreen, I do not seen anything save for the collapsed sections of Calendar, Email, etc. However pressing them does not uncollapse them.

I am using Pocket Informant as my primary calendar, but my normal calendar is synced as well.

I installed Lockinfo after I installed the calendar, contacts etc. I went into Lockinfo's menu and checked which calendars to recognise. Still nothing. In fact, as mentioned, nothing at all - no messages, no emails, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I installed lockinfo 2.3.3.0, everything worked fine except since lockinfo had installed activator thats were my issue was.

when turning on the phone screen using the power button, the following can happen

1) The screen lags then works

2) The screen comes on, flashes right away, the comes back on for good.

3) If I try on/off on/off several times, one time the screen will not turn on again. I'll have to press it again to get it on.

If I uninstall activator everything works again.

ok so i figured out how to make it not dim my wallpaper, but is there anyway to add transparency to the drop down weather info? if i click on it to expand its hardly readable against a bright background, but unless i set the entire screen for the transparency settings it doesn't work. tried cell and header and they don't affect the drop down weather :(

How is it buggy for you? I'm not having any trouble on my fresh 4.0.1 so far with lockinfo + weather for the week + sbsettings + 3gunrestrictor + a few other things I can't recall.

I was having the same problem, tried everything to resolve (respring, reinstall, reboot, contacted developer who also suggested reboot) with no luck. As a long shot, I though maybe the issue was related to being installed through Rock so I uninstalled the app and Rock and then downloaded and installed via Cydia and voilà, Lockinfo appeared in Settings and appears to be working perfectly though I haven't had much time to play with the settings yet.

don't know if anyone has experienced this too, but i think i've noticed a bug on the SMS plugin. on the lockscreen settings, i have "Quick Dismiss: ON". but i've noticed that everytime i receive a text and perform the Quick Dismiss (clicking the Home button once), the text bubble does go away, but still leaves another text bubble showing you have a txt message...

...if you try to click the home button again to try and remove the remaining text bubble, it throws the phone into safe mode and prompts you to restart/respring!

OK, I managed to figure out my previous problems, now this one I'm having trouble with (lol).

When I receive text messages my screen isn't turning on from an off position.

Yes, when I hit my home button I can see the alerts for missed SMS and the previews are all there, but I can't be expected to continually remember to hit my home button to check for texts if the phone is laying right beside me?

Is there a way to make it light up upon receiving a new text? I have the Apple preview turned off so I don't get TWO notifications for text messages, but...now I'm not getting anything?

I'm having a problem getting lockinfo to show on my lockscreen and I think it has something to do with cydget (I used pkgbackup to restore my jb apps from my 3gs to my iphone 4). Anyway, when I lock my phone lockinfo doesn't appear on the lockscreen when I hit the home button (I have to hit it again to get it to show up). Again, I think this might be because of cydget but I can't seem to uninstall cydget and I can't configure it in settings either. I already removed cydialer and locklight cydget but I had to keep lockinfo cydget installed to get lockinfo to show up at all. Does anyone know how I can remove Cydget if it's not showing up in Cydia as being installed?

Forget it. Figured out that you need to go to the Manage Tab and then packages and switch to Expert mode - that did the trick. Hopefully Cydget will be updated soon enough so I can use it again.

I'm new to lockinfo and I have a question. When I'm listening to music via the ipod app and the song has artwork it overrides the lockinfo screen. The album art displays on the lock screen instead of my lockinfo. Is there anyway to disable the album artwork from displaying on the lock screen?

I had same problem yesterday. Initially installed through Rock (ver. 2.3.3.0, I think), wouldn't show in Settings. I tried respring, reboot (soft and hard), uninstall and reinstall, no luck. Contacted the developer who suggested a reboot, though Mobile Substrate 'wasn't hooking'.

On a whim, I recalled reading elsewhere during previous jailbreak of my 3GS that stability of apps can vary depending where it's installed from (Cydia vs. Rock) so I completely removed Lockinfo and other associated sources and also uninstalled Rock, then redownloaded Lockinfo via Cydia. Presto, pop up message stating Lockinfo in managed through Settings app and there it was.

I've since updated my sources to the beta repo (now have version 2.3.4.2) but I had no problems with the previous version either.

That's idiotic. My screen is still locked if I answer from a BT headset etc. If there's no way to see my call timer from a locked screen, lockinfo needs an update to allow this.

With LockInfo installed, every time the springboard restarted, it would delete the blank page and move all the app/folder icons to the first page. I'm hoping that this gets fixed in later versions because LockInfo is a fantastic app.

You only need one blank icon to keep the page from going poof. Just put one blank on the page and move the others off.

That's actually what all the weather widgets do on Android. It'd definitely possible and with a long enough delay I doubt it'd hurt much.

I'm not totally familiar with the API but exact GPS location is unnecessary for weather. If you could just get City Level location via the cell towers that'd be plenty enough. Plus the cell radio is running anyway so it'd reduce drain. Couple that with a 3 hour delay and you'd be fine.

But currently there is nobody doing this. :D

But again, no there is no way and I don't think the dev has any plans to do that. Development wise, it's possible to make. Maybe you could suggest it to him as an enhancement.

The 3.0 Ready is referring to OS 3.0. This is an old thread that's stayed active and the OP has been gone for a while and the title hasn't been updated.

The title should just be "LockInfo General". Maybe a Mod can change it so it's relevant. :D

how do i know if my lockinfo is licensed? i bought it when i was at 3.1.2. i just downloaded and it didnt show 'package purchased' in cydia. i dont see the 'buy now' button in lockinfo settings as well as 'check license' button.

I agree with you but my point is that it might be overkill to update it based on your location, especially if you move around a lot. Do you really want it updating when you drive to and from work, lunch, dinner, the gym, shopping, etc.? I don't know about you but the weather is pretty much the same for me wherever I go in my area since everything is within maybe a 20 or 30 mile radius of my house. I obviously travel outside of those areas but for the most part that's where I am on a day to day basis. I just think it would murder your battery but if it's something that you really want, by all means request it. I'm sure he would make it so it's very easy to turn that option off if it's killing your battery. For me, the default location that my stock weather app is set to is more than adequate. Hi,

I installed lockinfo 2.3.3.0, everything worked fine except since lockinfo had installed activator thats were my issue was.

when turning on the phone screen using the power button, the following can happen

1) The screen lags then works

2) The screen comes on, flashes right away, the comes back on for good.

3) If I try on/off on/off several times, one time the screen will not turn on again. I'll have to press it again to get it on.

If I uninstall activator everything works again.

I'm having similar issues. They show up fine, but if I load any unread messages in the Mail app that are in folders other than the Inbox they show up as well. This is even with the option to show only messages in Inboxes enabled. Also, if I mark a message as unread it never shows back up in Lockinfo.

I got 2.3.4.5 on the non-beta repo. After Cydia updates the database, click on Changes even if you don't see a red badge. There's a problem with Cydia not showing the badge even when there are updates.

Thanks for the reply, yes the issue is activator, I have already created an issue thread on the developers website. I have a thread on this issue. Sadly I refuse to install lockinfo because of activator. I think lockinfo is great at what it does. But it just feels jailbroken because of activator. My phone runs just as if it wasn't jailbroken without lockinfo, with the benefits of jailbreak of course. This is amazing to me and I would like to keep it that way.

Anyone that has this issue, please support my issue thread.

yahoo code override did the exact same thing for me, resorted to using the default weather.

Using the latest beta here, and it seems to be running fine so far.

Mail being updated with both sender and subject the majority of the time.

That's the "LockInfo icons" theme. It uses WinterBoard and has an icon and header component.

Ok, so I'm trying to SSH custom icons into my LI sport native theme with png icons. I was able to change my mail and SMS icons, however notifications, missed calls, and voicemail will not change. I don't even see a category for missed calls or voicemail....am I doing something wrong??

Not that I've seen. Have followed the betas for a few revisions now and it seems like most of the fixes are related to cleaning up behaviors in iOS4. I've seen mail client crashes stop, and the (no sender) bug disappear as well.

Still have issues with the weather not auto-refreshing but we'll see if that goes away.

Sorry, the problem seems to be related to the position in which the Twitter Bar was, 2nd to last (bottom), It didn't detect clicks on the entire bar, only around the center of the bar. I have moved the twitter plugin to the top and it works well, and the one on the twitter position now only accepts clicks on the center part. IDK if there is a problem with the bar being too close to the slide to unlock part or what, but at least now I know it works.

Update from the beta repository mentioned near the bottom of the previous page of this thread. Once you add the repository to Cydia it will tell you there's an update available for LockInfo. Should fix the issue.

Has anyone been successful getting a slimmer unlock slider to work with the latest version of Lockinfo? I tried using the hide slider feature, but when I do that I get some undesired results (keyboard popping up on springboard). I'd like to find a slim slider that works. None of the ones I have found so far in Cydia seem to work even if I place them at the top of my Winterboard themes.

You can disable activator in SBSettings if you really don't like it. But it definitely doesn't do that much damage to the battery. You have to have something else going on. I get great battery with LockInfo and Activator on.

Yea, they are located in /Library/LockInfo/Plugins/ and then each plugin has an icon in it's folder. Hmm... you talking about icons on your lockscreen or the notification bar? The icon should just be icon.png in the directory.

here is a snshot of my lockscreen and the "section_icon.png" from my NotificationPlugin.bundle folder. the images are clearly different. the second icon is white so you might have difficulty seeing it on the forum background. this is the only png in the folder.

Are you already using a lock info theme? Because those white icons are the default icons.

You are using some theme that overrides those icons. The icon you showed on the black background is the default. There is some theme overriding them currently. You can still override that by manually editing the theme or adding a new theme and putting it in order on top of the other themes.

Tap the temperature (where it says 89 in that picture). It should pop up. If you tap the date, the calendar pops up.

That's the problem when I press on the right side nothing comes up. The calendar comes up fine though. It creates the space but no icons.

Have you added at least one city to the Weather app? Try that and see if that helps.

A friend of mine is having the same problem. Gonna try a hard reset then if that doesn't work we are going to remove the plugin and re-install it.

I'm not sure if you can do that, but you can use the "clock hide" extension to make the stock one disappear so at least you don't have two stacked on top of one another. It's not exactly the same thing, but it's just about as good, IMO.

No. Newer versions of LockInfo will show up as upgrades if you tap on the "Changes" icon in Cydia.

I don't know how you turn that off but even if you did turn it off, how else would you bring up your quick list?

Actually, I just found where you can turn it off in settings. Open up bitesms and go to settings/lock screen mode/features. There's a toggle in there for Quick List.

Go into Settings>Lockinfo>Plugins>HTC Plugin>General>Detail>Both

that should get your forcast going and then just tap on the right of the clock for the forcast and the left for the calendar.

I had that. I put it in the autoinstall folder and rebooted / resprang but it never showed up in Settings > Lockinfo > Plugins. Do I have to install it or something?

Try just installing it with iFile. Get iFile from Cydia, you can use the free demo. Then you can browse to the folder and touch on the .deb and install it from there.

Hello, I installed the lock info and then installed the lockinfo icons from cydia and it all works (except mail) but the icons are looking all low resolution. How can I make them look sharp for the new iphone?

One thing thats killing me is the count not showing up next to Mail, SMS or Notifications. I get the count next to Calendar and 2Do plugin. I keep all cells collapsed and open only when I see I have something in there. It used to do this on the old iOS. Is this a know bug?

You'll have to play with the Transparency setting (i.e. Full Screen, Cells and Headers, etc.) and the Transparency slider until you're happy with it. The function of the settings is a little confusing but you'll figure it out after a little trial and error.

Can someone tell me how tell me how LockInfo updates mail, calendar and RSS?

In the FAQ it says "LockInfo hooks directly into the Mail app to get mail updates for your lockscreen. If you do not have the Mail app running in the background, LockInfo will not get any updates." There's no way of LI getting new mails without the Mail app running? How did this work before multitasking?

By playing around with it, it seems the same is true for the Calendar app. Am I right or wrong on this?

And I've never gotten the RSS to work. I've added nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/GlobalHome.xml , among others. Is there some hidden RSS-option I need to activate somewhere?

Turning on "Fetch New Data" for Mail and Calender doesn't seem to change anything.

Prior to iOS 4, Apple didn't let third-party apps run in the background. That didn't mean that Apple apps could not. Mail and iPod where two apps that did run in the background.

When I try to use "Tap to Reply" for SMS messages I seem to have an issue. I can reply to the message but the home button does not function until I lock the iPhone and then unlock it.

Also when I have SMS on the lockscreen I still get the SMS pop-up, is there anyway to disable this?
