jailbroken 3.0 -- install apps OTA ???

Hi all,

I jailbroke my iphone 2g after upgrading it to 3.0 without trouble and it retained my previous apps.

However, when I try to install new free apps over the air from the App Store, they will install but not run.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

I'm going to assume you have done a reset of your phone - holding power and home at the same time till phone turns off. I had this issue once and I think I had to deauthorize the computer through iTunes, then authorize it again and the app's worked. Try that.

I'm talking about apps delivered directly from the App Store over the air, rather than through iTunes, but I did try that.

when you jailbroke the phone did you use your original IPSW file? or one from the internet, what country are you from? UK or US app store?

Hi,

I used the above firmware and I'm accessing the US store from the States. Apps that were installed prior to jailbreak/unlock stick, but new apps load their initial flashscreen then exit out. I did install the AppSync for 3.0 via Cydia.

I'm going to try and restore and re-jailbreak and unlock.


Thoughts?
