Does anyone know a way to run the version of "Star Wars: TIE Fighter" that comes in the X-Wing Collector's Series set on their Mac?

I've gotten the old DOS version of the game to run on the computer just fine, but that old version has the old graphics. The version of TIE Fighter that's included in the Collector's Series has been updated to support texture mapping. I have the CD-ROM of this exact version I want for Windows 95/98... but I don't have a PC that will run it any longer.

I found an emulator designed to run games of that era on a Mac called ScummVM, but it doesn't seem to recognize TIE Fighter. Has anyone successfully used ScummVM with the Windows 95/98 version of TIE Figther?

Thanks for any suggestions. While I'm at it... "X-Wing Alliance" would be great too!

ScummVM is for Scumm-engine based point-and-click adventure games, i.e. not a general purpose emulator. Try WINE / CrossOver?

You could also try DosBox (http://www.dosbox.com/)

I get older games to run in XP in bootcamp with windows 98 compatibility mode.

I got Grim Fandango and Myth 2 to run this way, i have Tie Fighter Collectors but have not tried that one yet

i have a version of TIE Fighter that will run in DosBox, but it's the oldest version of the game... that doesn't support texture mapping... so it's not the best situation to play it in.

I use Boxer (http://boxer.washboardabs.net/). It's a little buggy but I find the set up easier than the others.
