There is no catch. The only thing is that someone needs to present a Student ID Card to the person at the Apple Store and say I want the iPod touch.

If you mean revision C vs revision B: processor speeds (1.86 and 2.13 compared to 1.6 and 1.86 previously), a bit better battery (~30 minutes difference), GPU isn't underclocked anymore (or less so). Oh, and you can't get a BTO anymore.
