i have an iPod touch 2nd generation and i have 3 months to return it so i was wondering if there was a 3rd generation coming out and if there is what's different from the old one?

Like celticpride678 said, I'd imagine a new one would come out in September. I don't know about features, it's always hit and miss with Apple about what will be on the next model. It would be pretty cool if it had a camera and GPS, but I guess will have to wait and see.

In my opinion, there will be a camera, but not a bigger screen. Wouldn't this be a problem for all the apps on the App Store? I believe they are designed to run on the current screen size, a bigger screen might be a problem.
I don't think they'll make the screen larger, but there is nothing about a larger screen that demands a higher resolution. You can find 4.3", 3.3", 3.0", and 2.8" screened devices that all have 480 x 272 resolution.
