If you are doing so much video work - why mess with a 12" laptop??

u already have a laptop

so i say go for the desktop

wait for wwdc

they might bump up the powermac line and u could get a the lower end machine for the price of a 1.6

I kinda have to agree. You can't easily carry around two laptops...and you've already decided which laptop you wanted.

Neither  ! I say you get the 15" PB with 1.5 Ghz G4, 128MB graphics, Backlit Keyboard, 1 GB RAM (installed yourself, not from Apple), a 5400 RPM Hard Drive and a Superdrive. Now that's a nice computer. Probably a little out of your price range, but it's nice to dream, isn't it? ;)

Best wishes,

A 1.5Ghz G4 won't be that much slower than a 1.6Ghz G5. I don't know about the 1.33Ghz, though. Can anybody post some bechmarks?

JOD8FYWell, mine scored 136.75. Not all that much slower than the 1.5. Plus on barefeats.com, they established little speed difference between the 1.33 and 1.5 (the 1.33 beat the 1.5 on one test). So if you add up the evidence, that means that the 1.6 g5 is not THAT much faster than the 1.33 PB.
