View Full Version : iPhone 2G stuck in DFU trying to use custom ipsw - sim not supported

HI guys,

So i'm stuck in DFU somehow (with a vodafone sim) and iTunes won't let me past the "sim not supported" page. I can't use an earlier iTunes as it says only 8.2 supports the phone. What can I do to kick it out of this thing and get to the iTunes iPhone page so i can install my custom ipsw from pwnage?

Please help!

After panicking for 2 hours I managed to get around it using redsnow. I had previously thought it was just for 3G iphones. phew. Now i have to decide whether to go to sleep for 2 hours before catching a very early flight to Denmark eeeek!

Glad you got it done, but a little bit of reading (even here) would of saved you most of those 2 hours -----> (Redsn0w)
