Disabling buddy icons in beejive

Just a quick question--I recently got BeeJive and the buddy icons are neat, however not every buddy of mine has "appropriate" buddy icons....suitable for a phone that everyone can sort of see while you're using. So I'm just wondering if there is a way to disable buddy icons in BeeJive...I haven't seen any option to do so...

Set meta contacts to "On" and change their picture in your address book. Thats the only way I know of. Do you have a mac?
