I know I know, this isn't the first thread about working at Apple, but I'd like some opinions.

I had a second interview at Apple Birmingham yesterday and I'm pretty happy with how it went.

I'm just curious as to whether there are any English Apple workers here and what they can tell me about their experiences.

I've heard a lot from American workers that they loved the title but hated the stupid clients, is this how it is in the UK?

This happens with many positions in a customer service-oriented profession...

true, it does, but i meant that many people have been saying the job is only worth it for the discount, the rest of it was rubbish...

Well what do you expect? It's no different from working in Currys, except the name/logo is different.

I'm not from the UK, but the people I worked with were one of the best parts of the job. Had a blast working there.

So it's a mixed bag I guess...?

And it is different to working in Currys etc because it's a different environment, plus you're selling the stuff you're passionate about.

It's retail. If you are passionate about the brand and want to promote it to people, you'll likely love it and make great friends working there.

I guess there is a danger of being too passionate about your product.

Obviously you want to sell an iPod, an iPhone or an iMac but you can't be all 'fan-boy' with it. I had one of those in Regent Street just after if opened and I was really put off. He was only doing his job but it was a bit OTT.

Yeah Apple Brum said they don't really like to employ fanboys or know-it-alls.

I love Apple products but I wouldn't go as far to say I'm a fanboy.
