The iPhone dev team, and chronic dev have it on their sites, so I trust it.

The Dev team doesn't have it on their site, they said it not recommended yet because not all the kernnels have been patched yet, so not everything will work properly. Remember this is someone else's JB, the Dev team's will come after 3.1.

yea i just did it works like a charm... only winterboard doesnt work yet everything else is awsome!

I would never trust anything this 'geohot' kid puts out. Not to mention the fact that he may have completely screwed the devteam's efforts to put out a meaningful jailbreak/unlock for the 3GS in a few weeks. Ass. :mad:

I would never trust anything this 'geohot' kid puts out.

Geohot is kind of a huge figure in the hacking scene... He was one of the original people that aided in the jailbreaking and unlocking of the original iPhone.

I just hope he can back up that "what last hole?" statement because some of us here in crappy xenofobic Europe don't have the 3GS yet so we don't wanna get screwed.

I just hope he has something up his sleeve, either way thumbs up for the jailbreak.

duhh... You obviously don't know much about the history of iPhone jailbreaks. GeoHot found the exploit that allowed the original jailbreak. He was the original dev team.

Base on reading the iPhone soap drama, seems like the Dev Team is operating much like a communist country and GeoHot is little too capitalist for their liking.

Who knows and who cares, I know all these guys want is something to feed their ego, and most of us wouldn't mind feeding their ego for the jailbreak and unlock.
