Used 30" ACD worth purchasing?

So what does everyone think? Is a used 30" ACD that's 3 years old (but apparently hardly used with no flaws) worth $1,000 USD? I'm only concerned with the fact that I can't purchase Applecare for it.

Well if it works, has no dead pixels and no visible tampering/damage - I don't think there is much risk there and you are getting a nice 700$ off.

It's not like the Apple displays fail a lot many times sitting on the desk.
