Canon Elura 70 / MVX250i & iMovie / FCE Compatability?

I am looking at the Canon Elura 70 (NTSC) MVX250i (PAL) Digital Video Camera. Does anyone have any experience using it with iMovie and/or Final Cut Express?

Its not on the compatability lists so I am wary

I use my Elura 50 without any problems and it too is not on any of the lists. FCE and iMovie both recognize it...
I have never heard of any firewire DV camera not working with FCE. The compatability list is sort of worthless.
