Hi all,
I'm working my way through Xcode 3 unleashed but have got stuck during Chapter 9 where it asks me to find TextMacros.xctxtmacro and HTML.xctxtmacro which should be in Contents/PlugIns but I cannot find these files and have even searched for them but it shows 0 results found.
I am using Xcode 3.1 and the book is using 3.0 so is it possible if someone can point me in the direction of these files or what they are now if possible.
Thanks,
Stephen

Both are located at -
Xcode.app/Contents/PlugIns/TextMacros.xctxtmacro/Contents/Resources

Thank you very much :). Book wasn't too informative on accessing Xcodes package contents.

Right now I have completed what I wanted to do but now I have to save the file in Library/Application Support/Developer/3.0/Xcode.
But unfortunately I do not have a Developer folder in Application Support, but I do have one in Library and this contains a 3.1 folder but does not contain an Xcode folder.
Any help?
Thanks

I'd place it in the 'Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode'
folder of '~/Library' if I was the only user of the machine or
'/Library' to share amongst all users.
If the path doesn't exist go ahead an create it.

I created the path but Xcode doesn't find the macro, but hopefully I wont need to use it for the actual book as I found writing plists as really annoying.
Thanks though

Stephen,
Before giving up try -
~/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Specifications
