Hi folks

I've uploaded a video comparing a 2.13ghz to a 1.8ghz macbook air. I know this isn't an exact benchmark but but at least for booting and browsing the 2.13ghz is slightly faster.

Hi barbro66,

Thank you for your vid! It's not mhz as your vid title and the video says, though -- it's GHz. ;)

By the way, why does YouTube load painfully slow? It seems like there were server problems!

You can tell I've been in this game too long! (blows dust off his 1MHz C64)

Do a clean install on revision B (or both, preferably) if you want to compare. The difference in boot times is very slight (less than improvement I see immediately after having used Onyx), and I see you've lots of icons on rev B, so presumably it has been used for some time without reinstall. Startup items, desktop icons, system caches etc. affect boot times and such, so OS X (any OS in fact, although none as badly as Windows) gets slower with time.

Don't get me wrong, there's no doubt revision C is faster - in tasks depending on CPU and/or GPU. IIRC it uses the same SSD, which is the main factor in boot times and such.

Not to be a jerk, but it's actually not GHZ either. It's GHz ;)

Not much of a comparison. It would be better to do a comparison of encoding video like reducing a DVD to fit an iPod.
