Hi, it might be a dumb question. But I try to connect my macbook to my panasonic HDTV (not PC competible). I used two cables, the mini-DVI to DVI then DVI to HDMI to the TV, but the TV doesn't have any signal. My TV requires 750(720)/60p or 1125(1080)/60 resolution, I changed my macbook to 1152*720. Does anyone has any idea what it might be because of? I really appreciate your help!

Are you sure you're on the right hdmi input on your tv?

Check to make sure the TV is showing up in System Preferences. You may have to scan for monitors in there.

Thanks! However, I tried to detect monitors, it can't find new ones. Does that mean my TV can't be hooked up with computers?

your resolution is wrong... connect the monitor and try booting up with it connected and on. if it doesn't connect, you might have a bad cable or something or it might be a HDCP problem.

The cable is what I got new from apple store, I tried every resolution in my mac and reboot computer or restart the TV too, neither worked.
