View Full Version : Tricker threeG - Is developer working on a 3GS JB fix?

Tricker threeG is one of my favourite apps, and probably the main reason I Jailbroke my 3G (and now my 3GS) phone.

Unfortunately, as I am sure most people who use it are aware, tricker threeG does not work on a JB 3GS phone.

Does anyone know if the developer is working on a solution to remedy this? or is tricker threeG finished for good?

Watching this thread closely. I won't re-jb until this is available. It is the number one reason I jb'd. I have communicated with the developer in the past, and I'll report back if I hear anything.

Allows SlingPlayer and Skype to work of the 3G by making it believe its on a Wifi signal.

And it would now appear that Tricker ThreeG has disappeared completely from Cydia which is a real bummer. I had tried to install it on my 3G 3.0 OS but got an error message. I should have left the old version that did work and not tried to upgrade it :-(

Based on what little I've been able to dig up, either Jordan called it quits because he was given way to much grief over his video, or he is working on an update that should hit Cydia soon.

I really hope it's the latter of the two because it is a great little app and people who paid $30 for Slingbox should be able to fork over a buck or two to help the kid out.

Come on back Jordan, we love your app and NEED your app. I don't have a job yet but I WILL donate (just like I did for the previous version).

Waiting for the update. Also, looks like all the slingbox player over 3g has stop working...included unrestrictor and voipover3g

I am having no problems with VoiPOver3G and Slingplayer working on 3G. But you do need to add Slingplayer to the list of apps that work with it. You can find out how to do this here (http://www.modmyi.com/forums/apple-appstore-app-discussion/602791-slingplayer-works-voipover3g-settings.html)

Yup, keeping a close eye for anything even close to Tricker threeG b/c it was one of the best apps getting around no WiFi no workie....:(:(:(

What about 3G Unrestrictor? I bought it for $2 and it works great. Is Tricker 3G free?

Agreed! Tricker 3G may never come back as the developer now seems to be in hiding. Perhaps after someone exposed his app as a direct copy of the VoIPover3G app (which later became 3G Unrestrictor).

Best $2 I've spent on Cydia to date.
