No wonder IT people don't like Macs:

How much could companies save, though, using a Mac environment? A study conducted in the mid-1990s at NASA compared support costs. The number of support people needed for Macintosh computers averaged one for every 250 computers, whereas for Windows, it was closer to one for every 30.

A more recent study would be more relevant, but it's clear that OS X vs. current Windows is a similar situation.

I worked at a college/university repairing computers and we had 2 full time mac technicians (1 part-time) to work on about 200-300 Macs while we had 4-5 other guys doing like 1500 pcs.

But to be honest the mac guys were very lazy and spend most of the time sitting around doing nothing.
