App install problem

I went to install 2 new apps today. Clicked install, entered my password as normal. The app store exited and switched to the last screen. The progress bar on the app said 'waiting'. It stayed at waiting for a little while. I went to download a 2nd app and it did the same thing.

I rebooted the phone to see if that would wake it up. Now I have 2 "blank" icons that say waiting that I cannot delete, and the app store thinks I already have them installed.

I'm a little nervous to try downloading any more apps till I get this issue resolved. How do I remove the "waiting" icons and re-download these apps?

I am running 3.0 on an iPhone 3G, 16GB. I have included a screen shot. Thanks.

Try touching one of the "Waiting" icons. When I had three of them this seemed to "wake" them up and they all loaded. Not sure why...

When I touch them, they seem to depress, but nothing happens.

I just tried to download a 3rd app, and it said it couldn't connect to the iTunes store...I tried 3 times to re-connect, then hit cancel. This did remove the icon for the app I was trying to download, but not the previous two.

I am experiencing the exact same phenomenon. I have tried resetting, but this does not solve the problem. Others around me seem to be able to connect to the iTunes store. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am experiencing the same issue. I was syncing with my new laptop and itunes would not accept my password to authorize my pc. itunes DELETED all of my apps now and I can't log into the app store to re-download them.

A friend seemed to be experiencing the issue for a moment, but his app did eventually download (after some weird error messages I didn't get a close look at).

I was able to create a new account through iTunes, but I am still unable to get that new account to work on my iPhone....:o

While still being a little wonky, the issue seems to be resolving itself. I was browsing the app store for a few minutes, and a password box popped up which I filled out. When I exited the app store the gray icons are gone. Still being weird installing apps, but maybe something is still going on with the Store still.

same thing here, rebooted a couple times, didn't help. Not sure what it is, maybe a 04:05:06 07/08/09 bug?
