does anyone know how to show the steps of integration in mathematica? i am using it to help me with my calc homework.

i need to integrate (3x^.5)/(1+x^.75)

i really need to see the steps.

I work on MATLAB, but here is what i remember
integrate[(3x^.5)/(1+x^.75),x] should do it

i would recommend you get a ti-89 or another calculator that will do calculus especially if you need to do more calculus later on in your courses. its helps alot, especially in circuits or EM fields.

Yes. Absolutely get a TI-89. There is a ridiculous quantity of features on that calculator.

Now, you don't even need the software Mathematica to do integrals...Just go here: integrals.wolfram.com. (BTW: Use Sqrt[x] for x^0.5.)

Unless you need the graph of this, you should do it by hand. That's probably the point of the question as it's an easy one to integrate. It took me about a minute to do it by hand...

if it took you a minute to do this, you are rather good at calculus. this one has stumped me and several other of my intelligent classmates. perhaps this is challenging for us since we have only been through calc I and II.
