Does the itouch 1STgen play any video websites?

i looking to buy a ipod itouch 1st gen.

i just want to know if the 1stgen will play any videos on any sites?

also can you write in forums use the itouch?

is there any apps or other browsers that you can download for other sites without quicktime?

what do you use as a browser on the 1stgen?
do the videos play in the browser or a quicktime app?
also are youtube quicktime videos?

Other video sites are primarily flash based, and flash is not supported on the iPod Touch/iPhone.
