This is a surprise. I thought XHTML was "the way forward", but apparently the W3C changed its mind.

Long live HTML 5, I guess. :D

I learned how to write compliant XHTML because everyone said it was the future and the next step, but I always wondered what the real benefit of it was, since nothing today really supports serving as XML. Kept using it because it didn't allow for little mistakes and fudging that you can do in HTML...I'm not going to complain if it goes the way of the dodo, however.
