Use one of these (http://www.amazon.com/Console-Adapter-Convert-Plugs-Single/dp/B0006U3ACY/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b) and one of these (http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Audio-Cable-Splitter-1-Mini/dp/B00004Z5CP/ref=pd_sim_e_5). You can only get stereo through this setup, as you will need a system with optical audio input for surround sound.

You can't put a sound card in a laptop.
