Us Canadians endure a lot of weather... apparently this weather guy is new.

I live in california and I used to live in Toronto. If I had to choose between -1 to -10 degree, snowy weather and +1 to +5 degree rainy weather, I'd choose the -10 degrees. When it's that cold, the snow bounces off your jacket and you stay warm. With 1 to 5 degree weather you get soaked and the water just sucks the heat out of you.

People (Americans) exaggerate the Canadian Winters.

Even with snow (just in winter, by the way, it's not snowing right now in Toronto for the record), three Canadian cities made it into the Top 10 Most Livable Cities (http://www.economist.com/markets/rankings/displaystory.cfm?story_id=13809770) ranking with Vancouver taking the top spot.

I don't see any American cities on the list. Oh, that's right, the US is going out of business.

And snow isn't even that bad. As DoNoHarm said, snow is more comfortable than rain. Also it looks nice

I'd love to. If I ever moved out of the UK I'd likely go to Canada first and see what all the hoohah is about.

Lol @ Vancouver. From what I hear your weather is not dissimilar to what we get in England.

Which, unfortunately, doesn't exactly make me want to live there ;)

Ontario would be more my scene, bring on the real weather!

It's ironic that in Northern Norway, it's a actually almost that cold in winter time. Coldest ever was -51C in Karasjok. (I think they dragrace with reindeer there... Who knows?) According to a friend of mine who's in the army on the border between Norway and Russia, don't be surprised of -40C.

Although I'll grant you, Canada can be friggin' cold too.

seriously. in toronto at least, the weather isn't worse than say new york or something but people are all pretending to be hard-assed canadians. You need to go outside of Toronto to places like sudbury to have real Canadian weather. I know someone from Newfoundland who would tell me of literally being snowed in to thepoint where they had to dig out of their houses.
