Lacking a gaming section, I pose my question thusly:
Will many of the games developed for mac in the ppc days still function on the newer intel macs?
More specifically: will a copy of Dungeon Siege (2001 - Mac Edition) run on the new unibody macbook? I am not talking system requirements; I refer to processor architecture and whether these older games are optimized only for the ppc or just for osx.
Incidentally, I have been looking for some time, and I am yet to find a decent repository of compatability information for mac games - hence the original question. This also leads to original NWN and other classics - are their mac versions ppc exclusive as well? Am I reduced to bootcamping as my only option?
Cheers for your help all.
