MacGeneration (http://www.macgeneration.com/mgnews/depeche.php?aIdDepeche=3597) reports (in French) (translation (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.macgeneration.com%2Fmgnews%2Fdepeche.php%3FaIdDepeche%3D3597&langpair=fr%7Cen&hl=en&prev=%2Flanguage_tools)):
The improvements would be numerous, with in particular an updated management of the peripherals USB and FireWire of which new numerical cameras FireWire, the management of the PC Card (finally) and IrDA modem of PowerBook FireWire. AirPort would pass in version 2.0.2, Apache into 1.3.22 and AppleScript into 1.8.

All I can say is that OS X.12 has to be released before AppleScript Studio.
Thanks,

Not true... log into ADC and you'll find the Dec dev tools are now available for download (well they were last night) and the disk image includes Apple Script Studio. I am a 'web only' member (read as free) so if it was available for me it sould be available for everyone. You just need to signup for an account.

I just got an e-mail from the developer tools website (http://connect.apple.com/) saying the new developer tools where finished and ready for download. Maybe Apple figures that by the time we all download 223 megs 10.1.2 would be released and we would all have had it!

According to data on the dev connection it says that applescript studio requires OS X.12 to run. I must be wrong. Sorry :(

I don't like installing stuff until it's been officially released either. I've seen too many posts concerning problems run into from this before to take chances of my own. Besides, it's not like I'm hurting for it anyway.
What are people most looking for with OS 10.1.2 anyway?
I'm looking for PCMCIA (PCCard) support. Tired of booting back into 9 to read pictures from my compact flash card on my TiBook.
The IRDA support would have been nice too but I hear that it won't work with PDAs (My Visor Dlx for example), only modems(?).

10.1.2 is also supposed to incorporate the official version of the "window compression" hack, which can reduce the memory requirements for OSX by half or more depending on use, and speed up window drawing and such.
It was left out of previous updates because it was thought to have caused a bug - but they recently tracked down the source of the bug and it was NOT the window compression, so they plan to enable it in 10.1.2.

I'd like to see the dock sped up a bit (when it over grows your screen and shrinks + magnifies at the same time it can get sluggish {maybe this is because my 17" is set to 1280x1024. Maybe it would work better on a smaller resolution.} )
I'd also like to see that annoying iTunes visualizations bug go away. - Start fullscreen visualizations, move the mouse a bit and then click with the mouse. When the normal desktop reappears your lovely mouse icon dissapears. It still works but it very very annoying!

That doesn't work for everyone Alphatech. I have 10.1 and never got to see 10.1.2 through SW Update, I finally found it on Apple's site at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=122003
