Hello,
Just curious about how other's feel about this. If this were the matrix, would you want to be "set free?" Would you want to fight for humanity or would you give your physical body to machines who just used your energy but kept you fairly happy?

These usually go better when the OP participates.....
I think id be happier in the matrix, for all purposes it is essentially real, all senses are enveloped and its basically the world as we know it.

If I were in the Matrix, I would be set free, if only to have the power to destroy you and everything you hold dear.

No. I agree with Cypher in that an existence in the Matrix beats a miserable one outside it.

Wake me up. Let me fight the machines. Perceived happiness can never match true happiness and the ability to have free will.

I've got a pretty nice life right now...I'm not so sure I'd like to exchange it for a life of extreme danger and possible death each day even if it was 'realer'. :p

Yes, but your real body is sitting in a jelly all day...

Well at least my brain thinks I'm driving too fast, eating undercooked meat, drinking beer and fine wine, skydiving and appreciating the subtle comforts of female companionship. :)

Unfortunately no one can be told what the Matrix is, you have to see it for yourself.

Doesn't matter....

In the Matrix, I think I'm really awesome. In the real world, I'll know I'm not. :p
Don't bother waking me up. Just close the door behind you and GTFO.

I haven't seen the Matrix (I know, I know), but being in it sounds nice compared to "real life," so I think I'd probably want to stay in it.

I'd want to wake up, but only so I can be uploaded with kung fu, helicopter pilot skills etc., then I'd come back in again and kick ass :)

I left once, but I soon came back. It was all a bit rubbish to be honest, although everything didn't taste of chicken which was a plus point.

Ignorance is bliss, so I would stay in the matrix.

I think I would want to be set free, that way I could have the option to be in or out of the Matrix. I would just have to stay on the good side of the various Agent Smith's.
But this thread has made me think again, how do we know that we aren't in a Matrix-like environment? We can't prove that any of this is real. Can we? Maybe we just think that it's real.

What!? Are you saying that The Matrix is a work of fiction!? ;)

I'd definately want to be released from the matrix. That way I could salvage an extremely advanced mac from the abandoned Apple store of the "future" (but what is actually present day) and make all of you jealous.

I'd fight.
Also I would be a world class limbo-er.
