hi guys,

(* Sorry guys, its imovie 09 *)

I have created a video clip about a recent holiday trip with my friends, at the beginning of my video, i have the "star wars text" which is scrolling at an angle in to space. I have some text on there and I would really like to slow it down as it is going too quick for people to read. Does anybody have suggestions on how to slow this down?

Thanks

Not entirely sure what you've done thus far on this, but here are a couple of ideas:

iMovie Title Animation (http://video.about.com/desktopvideo/Apple-iMovie-titles.htm?rd=1)
And I can change the pause setting to set how long the title stays up for. I'll set the speed to two, and the Pause Setting all the way up to four. Now I'll hit the preview button at the top to see how it looks. That looks pretty good.

Then, when you hover over the bottom left corner of the title itself, you should find an Activity Wheel dropdown. Increase the duration of the title.

Crop it to the length of your text in the Preview window by typing "C" to bring up the cropping editor.

HTH ... Cheers!

get Final Cut Express?

Just teasing.
I remembered starting with iMovie to edit movies and that last oh... about two minutes before I went to FCP.

Just Sayin'.

Thanks, but when I increase the number of seconds to say 35, it does slow it down somewhat.
But I have a lot of black scrolling star wars style nothing at the end

I can't for the life of me figure out out to crop this successfully? I can crop motionless things like a pic, or even video but not a scrolling title? Agh, this is driving me mad!

Oh yes, lol, FCE would be great, but if I am struggling with something like this, how would I go with that, I wonder? The rest of my project is pretty good, just this stupid thing I can't figure out...

Thanks in advance.

Are you increasing the duration of the scroll or of the clip itself? It makes a difference.

I have I believe tried both, but nothing seems to work.
To save time here, how "should" I be doing it?

I simply cannot slow down the scroll enough to make the text readable, no matter what I do.

Our CEO is in town this week, and being a corporate sales trip video, I want to amend this and get it ready to show him, and really need to fix it, so any help appreciated here...

Thanks in advance.

Oh also, I just opened imovie for the first time in a while and after upgrading a few things of late, apple updates, when I go into the movie, several of the audio tracks have exclamation marks on them and no audio plays in the video...

And I have made no change to the clips...
