Frozen Throne makes MBP hang on 1680x1050.

Hello everyone,

I have installed WC3 and Frozen Throne, from the official discs.
Whenever I play on 1680x1050(32bit) the computer hangs and I need to shut it off by pressing the power button.

That does not happen when playing on 1680x1050 16bit (which looks awful).
Any suggestions?

Unless you're using an external monitor to play at 1680x1050, the MBP screens don't support that resolution natively.

Which MBP do you have? 8600M GT or 9400M/9600?

Yeah, forgot to mention that I am using an 22'' external monitor.
Using 9400. Same happens with 9600.
Macbook pro 2.4Ghz.

What you are describing sounds very much like the problem related to custom games. Have a read here

(Command+Option+Escape will help immensely)

Could it be by chance that the problem hasn't occurred on 16-bit colour? I've never heard of this helping and will test it myself.
