Quickcam Vision Pro out of focus problem

I just bought the quickcam vision pro for my mac pro and I seem to be having some trouble getting a clear picture. Seems like the auto focus is not working and is basically showing a clear image when an object is 1 inch from the lens.

Any special trick to get this to re-focus or auto focus? or is my unit busted?

...One inch? Are you kidding? Its a webcam, not a microscope. What makes you think that the camera is supposed to focus down to 1 inch?

Well yea when I stick my hand 1 to 2 inches from the lens the image is crystal clear, the further I move my hand away the blurrier it gets. That's why I believe my auto focus is stuck.
