Id have to go with Beejive. Their server issues seem to be a thing of the past... my login time is around 3 days now, and all push notifications have come to me flawlessly.

IM+ is good too, but the UI is childish, and all buddy icons dont load right. Not to mention you cant even set your own, so you are stuck with an IM+ icon.

Id give the nod to BeeJive easily.

Nimbuzz 1.3 appeared today with (wait for it ....) PUSH NOTIFICATIONS!

Yes. After logging out , you get 30 whole minutes of push!
Count em, thirty entire minutes of push. After which it makes a noise and logs you out.

Unless you want to use Skype. In which case, no push at all.

Now, I like the whole push notification idea. It seemed like a good solution to the problem.

But with all these applications, no one seems to be doing it right.

Skype are not offering push at all in their app.
IM+ seems flakey. It seems hit-and-miss whether their app logs you into the network at all.
Nimbuzz (see above)

The most consistent IM client so far seems to be AIM. Which at least behaves as expected.

There seems to be a need for an IM client which does what we need.

I can't speak for IM but my experience with beejive has been really good. I doubt u will regret getting it.

It's the only one I haven't tried.

Doesn't do Skype - which is my most important IM service.

Might give it a try anyway.
