That looks terrible, is that Windows XP with FlyAKite OS X installed? But for $150 I guess its not TOO much of a waste :)

For $150 thats quite good. I would not mind one to play around with. Looking at specs should run Leopard.

USB thumb drive or USB dvd-drive.

USB thumb drive or USB dvd-drive.

That would only work if the system were compatible with a bootable USB. Considering how much he paid for it, I highly doubt it.

Considering the standard netbook specs, I'd be surprised if you couldn't install OS X on it. At any rate, that's a damn decent price for a 12" netbook.

Is that the new m-m-m-makbook? Looks nice. Love the windows key.

If they hadn't tried so hard it probably would have been a decent machine. What's the Apple logo made out of? Sticker? Metal?

It's metal, that to suprised me, I think ill take out the windows key and try too find a mac same size key shouldnt be to expensive and it'll look more legit, I'll take out the Spec sticker too.. It might be cheap but it's resistante, today it fell from one meter high it still works, I inspected it and it doesnt have one sratch.

That's bizarre. Does it say anywhere who actually makes it?

It only says Made in China in the booklet that's all I found. Selling this Netbook is Illegal and they would get sued so I don't think they would risk it.

If it can't boot off of USB, then there is no way to ever reinstall the OS short of pulling the hard drive out. Even the crappiest systems today can boot from USB.

So what do I do, do I take the risk, is there a tut on how to do it ? if yes can I have the link ? I have to Usb a Kingstone 4 Gig and a Sandisk Cruzer 8 Gig, I also have a external HD of 160 Gig

Google how to restore an OSx86 image to a flash drive in Windows, you should find what you need. In OS X its very easy to do using Disk Utility, but doing it from Windows might be harder.

This is mint, considering its worth nothing and still works quite well its a very good toy and could be used as a proper netbook :P
