Sorry for what's probably been asked tons of times, but I can't find any definitive information on this.
I know Apple made restoring from DFU difficult with a recent software update, and with the new macbook pros (which I have).
I want to upgrade an older unlocked iPhone 3G to 3.0 and unlock that as well using Redsn0w. Will I have issues with the DFU? Do i need to use a USB hub, find an older Mac, or do that thing where you revert USB software? Or has that mostly gone away?
