hi,

I record a lot of documentaries from the TV, but my DVD Recorder is only capable of recording to single layer DVD's. I'd like to be able to record episodes of a series to dual layer DVD's.

rather than go out and buy a new DVD recorder, I thought I could record the individual episodes to a RW DVD, copy them to my MAC and then burn a DL DVD.

would titanium toast 7 (or 10) allow me to copy 2 DVD's (each containing 2 one hour documentaries) and burn them onto a DL DVD as 4 episodes?
would there be any loss of quality in the video?

or is there any way I could do this with iMovie and iDVD because I find creating custom menus in toast quite impossible?

BTW, I like the DL DVD's to be video discs (like movie DVD's) and be pyable on regular DVD players.

cheers
