Net10 prepaid on iphone 3g?

I know that net10 sims are different than others and can only be activated on one phone. If i can get a net10 sim from somewhere and activate it with the IMEI number of my iphone, would i be able to to use it? Or are can you really only use them on net10/trakfones as they claim? Also any ideas on where i can get a net10 sim would be greatly appreciated, thanks 😀
