Quines body was found June 5th by his friend Rick Kelly, his death was apparently caused by a heroin overdoes. Quine had worked with Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Lou Reed, Miles Davis, John Zorn, Tom Waits, Glen Branca, Brian Eno, Matthew Sweet, Fred Maher, They Might Be Giants, Marianne Faithful and others. He last worked on the album Lustro (2002) a collection of the music and poems of Michael DuClos read by the likes of Deborah Harry, Kristin Hersh and others with guitar loops etc by Quine.

I haven't heard of this individual, but his passing is regrettable.
However, I suppose it was only a matter of time if he was using heroin.

Duff-Man says...I was lucky enough to see him play a few times - twice with Richard Hell and once with Lou Reed....what a fantastic guitarist...unique style. Spoke to him for a while the afternoon after the first R Hell show I saw...nice guy too....he'll be missed....oh yeah!
