How to Sync iPhone

So I finally figured out that to add photos to your iPhone you have to go to sync in the iTunes menu and drag them in that way.

However, now when I go to the Sync iPod menu in iTunes, that menu option is grayed out. Any ideas why?

don't understand what you are trying to do! are you trying to sync a Iphone as a Ipod? Also why did you quote yourself! 😛

If you're on a Mac use iPhoto to get pictures onto your iPhone. Also, airshare and sharepod can be used.

Edit: Strike the sharepod reference. I finally decided to try sharepod, since others on here had referenced it. Looks like you can only copy from the iPhone for pictures.

Still not exactly sure specifically what you want to do, but I'm going to assume you want to sync photos to an iPhone with a Mac.

Plug your iPhone in. In iTunes, in the left pane, you'll see your iPhone listed under "Devices." Click on it, and in the main window, you'll see a bunch of tabs, including "Photos." Read the options listed, and it should be self-evident.

If that's not what you're trying to do, please be very specific in your request.
 
Use iPhoto to create an album then go into iTunes, select your iPhone on the side, click the photo tab, enable photo syncing, select the album you want to sync (you just created it in iPhoto), click sync in bottom corner of iTunes. It will now put the photos ONTO your iPhone.

Open camera roll on iPhone and have album with photos.

Thanks for all the replies, everyone.

The reason all the options were blanked out in iTunes was a silly one--Apple put a advertisement screen for Mobile Me on there and I didn't see the buttons to accept or deny a trial subscription, and until I clicked one or the other, iTunes sync functions and mostly all the other menus were grayed out.
