Run an external hard drive to my mac mini and have it act as a time machine backup while at the same time use it as a wireless time machine for my
MacBook? I got the iomega 1tb minimax hdd. If that is possible how easy is it to setup? Thanks.

Just create two partitions. 😉

Right but my main question is…am I able to access the external wirelessly from my macbook?

No, not unless it supports wireless backing up which i doubt. What make/model is it.

It's the Iomega Minimax 1TB drive. So even if I plugged it into my mac mini, used my mac mini to act as a server for the drive, it still wouldnt work that way?

I'm not sure that would work, although you may as well try.

I do this with my Mac Pro. I have an internal Time Machine drive. Should work the same way.
