Hopefully someone can help me tweak some settings, since I really like the interface of Toast. When converting an .avi file (xvid codec) to DVD-Video, the final video quality from Toast is atrocious.

The exact same file, when burned with iDVD, looks perfect, so there must be a difference in the encoding. Since I really like using Toast much more than iDVD, I'm hoping someone can help me adjust the settings--or maybe the encoder of Toast is just crappy?

Anyway, here are the examples. The top frame is the original .avi file (DVD burned with iDVD is the same quality). The next attachment is the same frame from the DVD burned with Toast. The last attachment is a grab of my encoding settings.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
