Doesnt pandora, yahoo and news apps work over 3G and Edge anyway?
Whats the point of tricking them that they're on wifi?

That doesn't change the connection strength. No matter what your phone thinks, it will get the same amount of data within that amount of time.

It's good for youtube, Skype (if I can make it stop crashing)...

e.g.

youtube over 3g gives you low quality video vs wifi.

Now with restrictor, you are watching wifi quality over 3g.

I dont think you get the concept of 3G Unrestrictor.
How would pandora or an IM client work faster when tricking them to think they're on wifi. They'll still do the same exact thing.
Its for programs that are blocked and only allowed to run on Wifi. With Unrestrictor you can run them thru edge or 3G like Sling, Skype etc....

not exactly. Altough apps like Youtube work over 3G.. when you're on the move, the video quality is reduced considerably. Using 3G unrestrictor with youtube.app makes it believe you're on wifi, and thus download the better quality wifi version of the video.

But not so with the particular apps the OP was asking about...

Yes, that also.
I dont think the OP gets it though as he was suggesting apps like pandora, yahoo and news apps etc....

This program is best for 3 things:

1- Watch Youtube with Wifi quality over 3G and Edge

2- Download/Update Apps and Media from iTunes over 10MB over 3G and Edge

3- Use it to talk over the cellular networks (3G/Edge) with VOIP clients such as Skype,Fring, etc

That's about it folks :)

Actually you would want to 3g Unrestrict Pandora and other music apps because you can achieve higher audio quality by faking a Wifi connection. I'm pretty sure Pandora uses a lesser bitrate over 3g than Wifi. Among other music apps. Just trick them all!

Then why would the 3g un... Give you the option to select those apps if they don't work?

It gives you an option to trick any app u have Installed on your phone. Wheather that makes any difference is another question. You can trick the clock app also, would it do anything different? NO
