The Hangover. Hands down. End of contest. If you have any sense of humor you'll laugh your head off.

The Hangover. Vastly exceeded my expectations of a banal fratboy movie.

My vote is going to go with Star Trek. While The Hangover was a brilliant movie, it's in my blood to like a good Sci-fi.

Totally agree. Wasn't gonna see it until someone dragged me along. Little asian fellow was a little overdone, but that's just me.

ALSO: why do these random ppl post new treads and not even put up their own suggestion...

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Amazingly choreographed, and stunning graphics. Can't wait until it comes out on bluray. :D

Then why did you like Star Trek?

I might have to go with Hangover or Drag Me to Hell.

So far...I'd have to say my top 3 are [in no particular order]: Drag Me to Hell, UP, Star Trek.

I wanna see the Hangover as I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Mine too. Granted I haven't seen many films this year but, a few scenes aside, it was gripping stuff.

Same as others, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Drag Me to Hell & Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince are my two favorites, so far.

Hangover was funny but not great. I did like Star Trek. However, I still can't fully reconcile how it destroys everything that made Star Trek great (even if you consider it a "remake" and nothing to do with the old movies and series).

500 Days of Summer then Up. The Hangover was okay, it was hyped up too much.

Star Trek was wonderful, but the Hangover came out of nowhere and blew me away. So it gets the edge, since I was predisposed to like Star Trek and predisposed to dislike the Hangover (or at least had vastly lowered expectations.)

Well, I don't really know if I can bring myself to say it's the best, but the funniest, most depraved movie of the year has to be Bruno. I've never had a film get such a response out of me. I covered my eyes with most parts of my body during the film, including my legs! There was a fantastic atmosphere in the cinema, lots of people laughing hysterically and squirming around.

None yet this year. Normally the one or two worthwhile films made each year, are released in the September - December range.

It's a shame you can't enjoy the many movies made each year that are just entertaining, rather than critically acclaimed.

Some people don't like dumb entertainment.

I can't pick a favorite movie I've seen so far this year. Whatever Works was good, but the last few movies I've seen have been terrible (Public Enemies, Moon).

The Hangover was funny, but I must say in all honesty Up made the biggest impact on me. It was everything a movie should be IMO

Of those I've seen this year my top three, in order would be:

1) The Hangover
2) Star Trek
3) Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Up is in a league of its own, so I didn't feel it right to compare it to any of the others I've seen this year.

I liked "Whatever Works" a lot. At last a good Woody Allen. Not sure it qualifies for best movie of the year though.

Role Models. When I saw it, I did not stop laughing throughout the whole thing! Especially with the ending, Kiss-my-anthia!

Harry Potter was awful :(. IMO the worst potter movie (along with azkaban).

I totally agree!! I didn't like either of those movies (or books).
