Please help!! iPhone won't sync with iTunes!!

i just recently upgraded my iPhone 2G firmware to 3.0 and also updated iTunes to 8.2.1 and now my iPhone won't sync!!

i'm on a Macbook, 2.4 GHz...

can anyone please help??
 
What do you mean by "won't sync" we need more details, is it not even recognized, or do you get an error?
