Is it easy, I am pretty technical, just want to be sure, also can I mix a 1024 with a 512 RAM modeule, or do they both have to be the same size?

It was hard for me when I did it because my screwdrivers kept breaking and it took an hour and a half to finally get it installed.

Yes, you can mix ram sizes on all other Apple computers exept powermacs.

yup it is pretty simply, all you have to do is unscrew the little door ontop of the place where the batter goes, slide ram into slot 2 et voilą.
