I'm currently using tweetie (which I like) but I'm debating between itwitter and Twitterfon pro. Which one is better? I'm getting tried of not having push notification and landscape for Twittie.

I'm a big fan of Simply Tweet, especially since it now has notifications for DM & Mentions.

I also use Twittelator Pro for another account.

Both are good but if I was going to use just one it would be Simply Tweet

I have to agree. SimplyTweet is a very good twitter app. I didn't think I would ever like one more than Tweetie, but I do now.

I think I'm leaning towards simple tweet. Does anyone have something better then that.... What about to 2 Twitter apps I mentioned before (itwitter & twitterfon pro)?

I really like TweetDeck. Easy to manage multiple accounts, read and send DM's, read mentions. Interface is just like desktop version.

Tweetdeck is ok, but I really like twittie, I just need somethin that's similar or better then it. I need my next Twitter app to have all the same fictions as twittie plus land scape and push notification & more.

i like simplytweet but do not follow him on twitter... he's a horrid SPAMMER! UGH! posts the same thing over and over and over about watching his useless movie....

uhm..... i would think the majority of people who are following him already own and use simplytweet... so why spam us? jerk!

SimplyTweet is my new favorite. It's pretty much the best one on the market imho. It does everything but pay my taxes. I'm loving it. I highly suggest getting that. I also highly recommend Twitterific Premium. Both are on my home screen.

The other one I have which I really really like is Landscape Tweeting. It's great too, and fairly cheap.

I only use TweetDeck on the desktop. Better than anything for either OS X or Windows that I've used.

Love Tweetie, with iTweetreply for push mentions and DMs.

I've also noticed one nice thing about Simply Tweet. If you haven't read twitter in 6 hours or so, whatever, it loads ALL your missed tweets since the last time you read. Not just 200 or 50 or whatever limit the other apps have. Very nice touch.

I'm very happy with TweetDeck currently. I've used Twitterific, and Tweetie, and so far, TweetDeck is my favorite. Although, I like what I just read about Simply Tweet loading ALL you're unread tweets... I have to look into that one.

what's the difference in simplytweet lite and the full version?

Before I buy it, I thought I'd check out the lite version.

I love Tweetie. BTW, Tweetie DOES have landscape keyboard.
Settings Apps ->Tweetie->Advanced->Landscape Keyboard

Use that with Boxcar and get your replies and DM's pushed to Tweetie! Done deal.

I've got Tweetie, Twitteriffic Premium and SimplyTweet on my phone as of now.

I keep Tweetie around because.... well I don't know why. There's just something about it I can get away from.

TP is my primary Twitter app while ST sits on the back page pushing me my DM and mentions.

There was this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=746592) thread a week ago, but maybe things change in a week...

I use Tweetdeck (http://themacfeed.com/?p=1311) both on the computer and the iPhone, the fact that they are free is only a bonus. Also the ability to sync multiple accounts is really nice and I had a lot of problems with Twitterific not being able to update, especially while on airplanes getting ready to leave/getting in.

how do you set that up on simply tweet?

I didn't. I think that's just a feature. Like yesterday, it loaded almost 600 tweets for me. I was busy.

i like this feature, too! with the others, when i was playing around with them.... i would lose out on a lot of tweets... the other day with simplytweet... i had been away a couple days and came back to 888 tweets! tweets i would have had to read later on the computer which i never would have done!

What do you guys have against TwitterFon? I'm still happy with an old version without ads. I tried Tweetie for a bit, but ended up deleting it because it didn't load enough Tweets on launch and it didn't indicate which ones I had already read. One feature I would like is the ability to group the people I follow by subject. I think TweetDeck offers this, but I'm not sure about SimplyTweet.

Twittelator plus Boxcar equals killer-app's. Twittelator doublechecks that you want to post the tweet, which is a great feature. Now I never have any spelling mistakes because I doublecheck everything!

Haven't heard of Simply Tweet, curious to see what that's all about, so thanks! Right now I'm a big fan and agree with djdavidgallant, Twittelator plus Boxcar makes for a perfect combination.

I've tried Tweet Deck a few times now, just recently, and have had nothing but problems and crashes. App will usually load up just fine, but as soon as I switch to another screen it just stops for a brief second and takes me back to my home screen. Had to delete it.

Tweetie is my app of choice right now though as it handles multiple accounts flawlessly. I can live without the landscape mode even though I've heard peeps complaining about it.

Does Simply Tweet allow for multiple accounts?

It goes to show you how quickly iPhone Twitter apps are progressing. One of Yesterday's hottest iPhone Twitter apps becomes old news unless it's refreshed often.

I think the large part of TwitterFon's demise, at least the free version, is the dated interface.

Tweetie has a landscape mode.

I have been using landscape mode a lot. I have found I can really type fast in landscape.

I have:

- Twitterrific
- Tweetie
- Twittelator
- SimplyTweet

And i think SimplyTweet is the best because it has push + pic search and more..

I don't get the fascination w/Tweetie. I started off w/TwitterFon, switched to Twitterific, and finally bought Tweetie. It's been a disappointment. Doesn't show new tweets, doesn't show full conversations, doesn't notify you of DM's, doesn't show the # of following/followers. It also has all kinds of little bugs. For example, at least three people I follow have changed their avatars, yet Tweetie still has the old ones. The search function is nice, but that's about it.

I've heard great things about Twitterlator Pro. Might give that a shot next.
