View Full Version : Questions regarding iphone 3GS jailbreak

Dear Members
I am scared to jailbreak my iphone 3GS, i dont need to unlock and att is my carrier and i dont want to use any other simcard. I only want jailbreak.

Here are some of my questions.

1) Will the jailbreak make my battery life worse? Some people said that their battery drains very fast.

2) Can DFU mode break the iphone in anyway?

3) Can iphone be break if you dont take the ibec and ibss files properly?

4) Can jailbreak make wifi and signal worse??

5) Can battery drain problem be related to mobilesubstrate (or what it called)

These are some of my confusions i have, cause i dont want to brick my iphone. Pls someone give me some suggestions and someone who have alreeady jailbroken iphone 3gs, pls give some tip.

I understand why you are hesitant to jailbreak. My best advice to you would be to first understand that if you do jailbreak and decide it's not for you, then simply restore and you'll have your stock iphone back.

I really think the best way to learn all the answers to your questions and a lot more is to just do the jailbreak and learn by experience. You will never truly understand all this talk until you "played" with your phone a bit.

I was a little nervous to do it as well, i will never have a iphone without doing it now... you can actualy do what you want with it now! You gotta try it... goto iclarified.com and follow instruction!

Thanks alot for all your answers and help:D

But i have had jailbreak before in my iphone 2G, and i have used its for over 2 years. So i know about cydia and all things, the thing im scared is to jailbreak my iphone 3GS, cause a lot of people are having problems with wifi, signal and battery. Thats why.

Since you are experienced with JBing you know you can just restore the phone if you don't like it.
