Voice Control wont pick up John!

For some reason i cant get voice control to work for the name john. i tried it on my phone and my fathers phone and its just strange. it even picks up names like almécija, bonicci etc but not john???

has anyone else encountered this, or is there a certain phonetic way of saying it

Perhaps, its to do with accent once again :eek: (I'm looking at you Google) and it picks up North american accents better than it does us Brits :rolleyes:

I seriously doubt that. There's only one way to say "John." But, IDK what your problem might be.

The Yanks tend to pronounce it 'jahn' while the poms say 'Jon'. It could be a factor.
