via a my home wireless network? I heard about something like this with T-Mobile at Home..... My problem is that I live in a little valley and when my friends come over with their iPhones, they get no signal. AT&T's coverage misses me, but it's there 1 door down..... So, I can't get an iphone if I won't be able to receive and make calls on ATT.

Is there some way - not via Skype or VOIP.

If you get no AT&T carrier signal, you will not be able to use the phone to make CELLULAR calls. You wouid need VOIP to use it as a phone. However, all its non-telephony features would work over a wifi network.

You could try a GSM Amplifiers....Like this- http://www.alternativewireless.com/cellular-antennas/wilson-antennas/wilson_cellular_amplifiers/direct-connect-amplifier.html

Hope this helps.

Hey I agree with you, but they work very well. Maybe you could check some cheaper ones on ebay?
